The Mishka Edition Fisher Wallace Stimulator® is Cleared by the FDA to Treat Depression, Anxiety and Insomnia

Fisher Wallace Laboratories and Mishka NYC today announced the launch of the Mishka Edition Fisher Wallace Stimulator®, a streetwear version of the Fisher Wallace Stimulator®, a portable brain stimulation device that has been cleared by the FDA for the treatment of depression, anxiety and insomnia. The device is approved for use within 11 of New York City’s largest hospitals, causes no serious side effects, and may be used safely in conjunction with medication or as a stand-alone therapy.

“This partnership allows us to introduce a breakthrough medical device to a generation that values bold artistic expression,” states Charles Fisher, Founder and President of Fisher Wallace Laboratories. “We already have worldwide regulatory clearance, quality published research and thousands of prescribing doctors. What we are tapping into now is culture.”

Kelly Roman, co-owner and Chief Creative Officer of Fisher Wallace Laboratories, reached out to Mishka NYC after becoming a fan of the brand. “There’s no rule that says you can’t combine streetwear and neuroscience,” states Roman, “By making the device fun to use, we are attempting to destigmatize the treatment of mood and sleep disorders.”

“I’m excited that we’ve created a product that not only looks cool, but can change lives,” states Greg Rivera, President and co-owner of Mishka NYC. “I’ve been able to reduce my reliance on anxiety medication by using the device regularly, and I hope other people will discover this technology as a result of our collaboration.”

“I primarily use the device to boost creativity,” states L’Amour Supreme, the renowned street artist who designed the faceplate, carry case and illustrated instruction manual for the device, “It also causes me to have vivid, hyper-real dreams.”

The device works by stimulating the brain to produce serotonin and other neurochemicals required for healthy mood and sleep. Patients also report increases in creativity, focus, concentration, libido and vivid dreams. The technology, called Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation, or “CES”, has been proven to be safe and effective in multiple published studies. Over 2000 doctors have prescribed the Fisher Wallace Stimulator® since 2009. The company’s medical advisory board is comprised of several of the nation’s top psychiatrists, including the retired Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine.

The Mishka Edition Fisher Wallace Stimulator® is available for purchase on for $599. Customers who use PayPal Credit will have no payments due for six months. Written authorization from a licensed healthcare practitioner is required to purchase a device in the United States. The device is approved in Europe and Canada for sale over-the-counter (without a prescription).
