Andrea Schlapia, CEO & Founder of Ironstone Communications, Inc., announces the addition of new affiliates to the Ironstone team; Aging Experts - Dr. Mikol Davis & Carolyn Rosenblatt and Employee Engagement Consultant - Connie Deianni.
Dr. Mikol Davis, Ed.D, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in geriatrics and the emotional challenges of aging. In the course of advising families about the problems of getting older, he and his wife, Carolyn Rosenblatt, R.N., B.S.N., Attorney and Mediator, became aware of the information gap in the financial services field. From their observations and concerns about this information gap, Aging Investor was formed.
Together they have conducted extensive research in the financial services industry and analyzed what regulators want financial service professionals to do when working with and advising aging clients. Their efforts evolved into programs for industry professionals to develop senior-specific policies. They have extensive educational materials for financial service professionals about aging, cognitive impairment, avoiding prosecution, and intergenerational wealth transfers.
Connie Deianni founded Corepoint as an extension of her passion for designing and delivering employee engagement programs to large, small, and non-profit entities. Corepoint represents 30+ years of employee engagement in the financial services and non-profit industries. Through trial and error coupled with the ability to “really listen,” Connie has honed best practices which support mentor programs; programs that enjoy longevity past the initial launch period and continue to flourish where the mentor concept ultimately becomes the culture of the organization.
As an experienced presenter, Connie provides engaging, dynamic, and interactive presentations focused on mentoring, career building, networking, diversity, and employee engagement. These insightful presentations leave her audience with best practices, tools to implement immediately, and the creative energy to make changes in their own organizations.
Ms. Schlapia notes, “Financial advisors are at a crossroads with aging clients transferring their wealth to the next generation. It’s critical that they are educated and able to recognize cognitive issues, elder abuse, and pursue FINRA’s recommendation to put senior-specific policies in place to assist them. Dr. Davis and Carolyn have conducted extensive research and can provide advisors with the resources and tools to successfully manage their aging clients’ heirs in the process of wealth transfers.
In addition, employee engagement concerns now require a holistic and real-time approach to obtain high levels of employee commitment. Employee engagement must be redefined and included within the culture of your firm to improve.
The inclusion of these experts provides Ironstone with a broader range of services, including speaking engagements and/or one-on-one consulting for firms looking to educate their clients and their teams.”
