Dave Reid, an industry veteran whose resume includes serving as the Executive Vice President for multimillion-dollar restaurant chain Miller's Ale House will be the keynote speaker at this year’s CONDO CON: The Property Owners Conference & Expo. Reid will examine the different generations that make up Northwest Florida beach visitors. During his presentation on Generational Marketing, Reid will share tactics on how to best reach consumers--from young couples to Snowbirds. Reid joins more than ten vacation rental industry experts uniting to educate hundreds of condo and second homeowners August 21 through 22. The event is being held at the Boardwalk Beach Resort Hotel & Convention Center: Panama City Beach’s only gulf-front convention space. The venue boasts more than 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Organizer and vacation rental management consultant Chuck Steeg said he is bringing back some conference favorites but with fresh content while also introducing new, pressing topics. “This year, we wanted to address governmental affairs as it relates to the vacation rental industry,” commented Steeg. “We’re excited to add HomeAway Director of Government Relations Matt Curtis to this year’s roster. He’ll be updating owners on the potential regulations threatening vacation rentals.”
Owners will get information on everything from the latest travel and real estate trends to Panama City Beach’s new Spring Break ordinances. Based on last year’s attendance, organizers expect more than 200 owners to converge at the second annual conference held in partnership with “Condo Owner Magazine.”
Owners can also network with other owners, learning from their successes and failures, plus test new products and services. Some fifty vendors will conduct product demonstrations while distributing free promotional items and product samples. Exhibitors contribute door prizes valued at $100 or more. “Last year, we awarded one lucky owner a living room set and a new, state-of-the-art mattress.” said Steeg. “We have a few surprises in store for the 2015 expo.”
The conference hours are noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 21 and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 22. A complete schedule will be available on the official event website, http://www.condo-con.com.
