Clarks Summit, PA (PRWEB) June 20, 2015
Since 1992, ISAR along with animal protection organizations, humane societies, animal rescues, veterinary professionals, caring individuals, and animal-friendly businesses from throughout the United States, Canada and abroad join together on IHAD to share the spay/neuter and adoption message in an effort to halt the euthanasia and suffering of unwanted companion animals, feral and stray cats and dogs that have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves.
ISAR’s International Homeless Animals’ Day plays host to special campaigns and events that help combat this tragedy often times including low-cost spay/neuter clinics, adopt-a-thons, spay/neuter information distribution, animal shelter open houses, special guest speakers, and candlelight vigils.
During last year’s IHAD observance in just one of at least 50 domestic and international venues, nearly 500 spay/neuters were performed!
ISAR’s International Homeless Animals’ Day has continued to grow and gain momentum in the war against dog and cat overpopulation. To date, ISAR’s IHAD observances have been celebrated in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, in over 50 countries, and on 6 continents.
ISAR extends a heartfelt invitation to all veteran IHAD event coordinators, as well to new ones, to join together on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in commemorating ISAR’s 24th annual International Homeless Animals’ Day.
ISAR offers free planning packets to all who are interested in coordinating an event, whether it is a small modest event or a large public gathering. ISAR’s informational materials will assist you in organizing an effective observance with suggestions for site selection, reaching target audiences, speakers, sample press releases, ISAR’s proclamations, and much more.
Please contact ISAR by phone or email to receive your International Homeless Animals’ Day 2015 planning packet.
ISAR strives to one day eliminate the pet overpopulation epidemic but cannot succeed without the great efforts of dedicated IHAD vigil coordinators and supporters.
