Snagajob’s The Hourly Gig Contest to Offer One Winner the Chance to Open for Country Music Star Brett Eldredge
Richmond, Va. (PRWEB) June 19, 2015 -- Snagajob, America’s number one spot for hourly work, has announced a nationwide call for entries for its fourth annual The Hourly Gig contest, designed to give aspiring musicians the opportunity to break into the music industry.
This year’s The Hourly Gig winner will get to open for country music singer/songwriter Brett Eldredge during his July 24 concert in Caldwell, Idaho. To enter The Hourly Gig contest, submit a video of an original song performance at TheHourlyGig.com before the entry period closes on June 26.
“I know how hard it is to break into the music industry, and I’m excited to give someone the opportunity to perform on stage and open one of our shows,” said Eldredge.
Entries will be evaluated on creativity, talent and entertainment value by a team of expert judges. Entries will be narrowed down to five finalists by the judges, with the eventual winner determined by a popular vote.
The Hourly Gig timeline:
June 12-26: Video submission period open
July 7-15: Public voting on top five finalists
July 15: Winner announced
July 24: Winner to open for Brett Eldredge
“Snagajob’s The Hourly Gig gives aspiring musicians across America that work hard all week while also trying to make it in the music industry the chance to perform on the national stage,” said Snagajob CEO Peter Harrison. “This contest continues to grow in popularity and we fully expect the competition this year to be its toughest yet.”
Brett's debut album produced three number one singles, “Don't Ya,” “Beat of the Music” and “Mean to Me.” He was recently recognized at the Country Music Association Awards as the New Artist of the Year. His newest single, “Lose My Mind,” has been climbing the charts and is the first single from his forthcoming next album, Illinois, which will be released on September 11.
