New York, NY (PRWEB) June 19, 2015 -- With Alzheimer’s being the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death, and with no cure and a rapidly increasing number of people suffering, the dedicated companies, organizations, researchers and support groups need to band together to make an impact and help those who are suffering.
The print component of “Fighting Alzheimer’s” is distributed within this weekend’s edition of USA Today in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC/Baltimore, Chicago, South Florida and Boston, with a circulation of approximately 450,000 copies and an estimated readership of 1.3 million. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. Actor Seth Rogen and wife Lauren Miller Rogen grace the cover of the print publication. Through an exclusive interview on the interior, the stars opens up about advocating for greater awareness surrounding Alzheimer’s, as it has personally affected the couple. Lauren shares, “My mom was diagnosed with early onset when I was 25 and she was 55.”
Mediaplanet also interviewed news anchor, journalist and producer Maria Shriver, who strives to wipe out Alzheimer’s to honor her father’s memory. Through her work with the Alzheimer’s Association, she states, “Women should know that they’re at the epicenter of it. They should know that if they’re in their early 60s, they’re twice as likely to get Alzheimer’s as they are to get breast cancer.”
This campaign was made possible with the support of the Alzheimer’s Association, USAgainstAlzheimer’s, Caregiver Action Network, National Institute of Health, Accera Inc, One Million Solutions, Transition Therapeutics, AARP, Merck, CorTechs Labs, Janssen, Health Care REIT, Nitrovit, Bright Focus Foundation, Home Instead and many more.
