ProStar‘s Chief Executive Officer, Page Tucker, said: “We are delighted to see this patent issued as it covers detailed processes of how utility and pipeline asset data is collected, pedigreed and managed in a GIS transaction. Our geospatial solution utilizes these proprietary business rules to provide industry with a more advanced data collection and data management system than what is currently being offered." Tucker went on to say, “In fact, I firmly believe that mobile, cloud, and web mapping technologies will become common business practices for the utility and pipeline industry and this patent validates that ProStar is at the forefront of this adoption."
