SDW 2015 attracts record numbers for next-generation government and citizen ID event
London (PRWEB UK) 23 June 2015 -- SDW 2015 has successfully brought together a record number of participants to its ninth international event focusing on next-generation government and citizen identity solutions.
With a more than 8% growth in attendees, just over 1700 industry and government specialists from 70+ nations used the SDW 2015 platform to network, seek out solutions, and to understand the latest technology and business trends in this fast moving sector.
Satisfaction ratings were also at record levels with more than 93% of event participants surveyed rating SDW 2015 as either Good or Excellent.
The SDW 2015 [(http://www.sdw2015.com) exhibition has grown strongly in its nine-year history and 2015 saw a sell-out 110 organisations displaying their products and services to a packed exhibition hall. This represents a 5% increase on last year – and demand is already high for exhibition space at SDW 2016.
The SDW 2015 conference, held over three days with 50+ speakers, attracted 15% more delegates than in 2014, and covered all the latest developments in the areas of ePassports, visas, driving licences, eIDs, advanced border control, anti-counterfeiting, document design, fraud detection and more.
A highlight in 2015 was the launch of a Views from the Top panel with executives at the highest level from Veridos, NXP Semiconductors, Entrust Datacard and Morpho sharing their thoughts on the opportunities and challenges facing today’s government ID sector.
Mark Lockie, SDW 2015 Event Director, commented: “This is a highly-targeted conference and exhibition, and yet, while we welcomed back so many familiar faces, it was very rewarding to meet so many new colleagues from around the globe. I was particularly pleased to see that we had a strong representation from government attendees this year with 263 officials from 35 countries.”
Preparations for SDW 2016 are already underway with special celebrations in the offing for the event’s 10th anniversary year. Next year’s event will again be held in the heart of Westminster at the QEII Centre in London – the dates are 10-12 May 2016. A call for speakers will go out later this year and the conference programme will be available in early 2016.
