Joseph Federico Director of Operations of NJ MET Inc., a worldwide leader in the field of electronic component testing, announces NJMET’s ANSI/ESD S20.20 Laboratory Re-Assessment Certification.

“For nearly 40 years our laboratory has practiced a robust standard handling of electronics components to adhere to the stringent requirements of ANSI/ESD protocols. This ANSI/ESD S20.20 certification recognizes that our technology program adheres to OEMs ESD standards, providing assurance to a diverse range of industries, “said Joseph Federico, from NJ MET Inc.’s headquarters in Clifton, NJ.

The audit was completed and re-assessment was confirmed Thursday June 12, 2015 at NJ MET Inc. headquarters by NQA-USA Global Certification Body.

ANSI/ESD S20.20 is the multi-industry standard for the development of ESD control programs that protect today’s increasingly sensitive electronic components, assemblies, and equipment from costly ESD damage and reduce down-time. Using the standard’s control methods and guidance, an organization can develop an ESD control program that protects devices down to 100v (class 1a) or less.

Used by numerous international OEMs and serving as the replacement for MIL-STD-1686, the S20.20 standard has quickly become highly regarded in the commercial electronic, telecommunication, aerospace, automotive, and medical device industries. In fact, the telecommunications industry standard TL 9000 references the S20.20 standard as best practice for meeting ESD control needs.

For nearly 40 years, NJ MET Inc. has been a pioneer in the Commercial Military, Aerospace, Industrial, Automotive and Medical fields providing worldwide quality electronic component screening and qualification testing.
