Hollywood, Florida (PRWEB) June 22, 2015
interRel Consulting today launched the free-access video education platform, ‘Play it Forward,’ on the company’s YouTube channel. ‘Play It Forward’ is an initiative whereby interRel’s team of experts produce short videos with a focus on Hyperion and Oracle EPM/BI products, providing targeted training content free of charge and on demand. A core value of the company is education along with a commitment to learn something then pass it on, also known as paying it forward.
“We want to educate the world,” said interRel CEO Edward Roske. “Information is meant to be free but currently the primary way to gain EPM/BI education is through paid courses, expensive conferences, books, and online webinars that require registration and hours of your time for information that might only require five minutes if you took out all of the marketing and got to the point.” The company’s move to provide a free online video library of interRel’s technical expertise disrupts an industry where experts normally restrict access to webinars and public sessions in order to prevent competitors from gaining the knowledge. interRel, an early pioneer of Hyperion webinars back in 2006, is an exception to this rule and allows competitors to attend their webcasts. Thus, the company is well poised to disrupt online education once again.
The video series will include everything from introductory content such as “What is Hyperion Planning?” to advanced content on topics like Essbase Custom Defined Functions. There will even be reference materials as interRel endeavors to make the entire Essbase Technical Reference into instructional videos, one function at a time. Additional related topics like big data, project management, and best practices in budgeting & planning will also be available. None of the interRel videos will require any user opt-in because the purpose of these videos is to educate, not to sell services.
As part of the launch, interRel premiered a parody video during the general session at ODTUG Kscope15, reminding viewers of another transformational era in technology. That video, along with the first batch of educational videos, was released on the interRel YouTube channel today which can be found at http://epm.bi/videos. Additional videos will be released weekly until the entire scope of EPM/BI knowledge has been covered or there is a zombie apocalypse. Users can stay apprised of the video releases by subscribing to the interRel YouTube channel and following the company on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+.
interRel is an education leader in the Oracle EPM/BI industry where the ability to provide excellent service to clients requires mastery of cutting edge products that are constantly evolving. In addition to touting three Oracle ACE Directors and two Oracle ACE Associates in its organization, the company is well-known for its twice weekly webcasts, multi-track roadshows throughout North America, and bestselling book series Look Smarter Than You Are with Hyperion. interRel frequently travels the globe with the Oracle Technology Network to educate developing markets on EPM/BI. interRel employees have a long history of participating in industry user groups, writing blogs, and presenting sessions at conferences. Now they will pioneer the frontier of making targeted video education available to the world.
