Hamilton Medical Consultants Selects Diagnotes® Mobile Clinical Communication System For Its New Post-Acute Health Practice
Indianapolis, Ind. (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- Diagnotes Inc. and Hamilton Medical Consultants (HMC) today announced an agreement that provides the Diagnotes mobile and web-based clinical communication system to the medical group’s medical directors, physicians and advanced practice providers who deliver primary care, specialty care, and acute care at both short- and long-term facilities in Central Indiana.
Drs. Daniel A. Anzaldua and Peter J. Bustamante founded Hamilton Medical Consultants in 2012 to focus on post-acute health. Working with key partners in healthcare they develop and implement novel systems and approaches that result in improved care for patients following hospital discharge and reduction in hospital re-admissions.
“The Diagnotes technology provides our clinicians with a seamlessly integrated mobile clinical communications system that includes HIPAA-compliant secure texting, real-time scheduling and on-the-go encounter documentation,” said Tara S. Lutes, J.D., the group’s manager of operations and general counsel. “Because the system is HIPAA-compliant, clinicians can append photos of lab results, pharmacy orders and other attachments to a secure text message.”
Diagnotes is used by 13 HMC employees who cover five facilities and average 500 week-end and after-hours calls each month. “Diagnotes has provided us the ability to do what we envision technology should be doing for us in a legal, efficient and effective manner,” said Dr. Anzaldua.
“The Diagnotes system is designed for a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment,” said Dave Wortman, Diagnotes chairman and CEO. “All users can access all of the components from any smartphone, tablet or laptop they choose. It’s an efficient, effective communications system that is very user-friendly. And, because it’s mobile and web-based, it’s available from any location.”
Lutes also praised the ability to use the system from a desk-top computer, too. “That means business and operations staff can track data such as response times to improve processes and workflows,” she said.
“We’re pleased that we are partnering with Diagnotes for our mobile clinical communications,” Lutes added. “It’s a system that will accommodate our needs as we grow, and yet was easy to integrate into our workflows. The training session for users was just 45 minutes from introduction to productivity.”
“The Diagnotes system brings cutting-edge mobile clinical communications technology to any medical care setting,” Wortman said. “Working with post-acute patients has its own unique requirements, and we were proud and delighted to be Hamilton Medical Consultants’ preferred partner for enhanced mobile communications.”
