First South Bank Announces Promotion of Norm Osborn to Area Executive of Inner Coastal Region

Norm brings more than 35 years of community banking experience to his position, and he’s been instrumental in the growth of several area banks, including the former Centura Bank, prior to the sale to PNC, serving in a variety of roles from Regional Manager to City Executive. After starting the de novo Cornerstone Bank in 1999 in Wilson, N.C., Norm served as its President and CEO for 15 years, helping it become the largest community bank in that area. Most recently, Norm served First South Bank as a Commercial Banking Officer in Rocky Mount and Wilson.

As an Area Executive, Norm will oversee branch operations, ensuring a you-first experience for every customer of First South Bank locations in Rocky Mount, Wilson, Goldsboro, Mt. Olive and Tarboro.
“I’m very pleased to be a part of this exciting team,” said Norm. “There’s no limit to the good we can do for customers and communities throughout the state. It all starts with providing our trademark ‘You First’ banking experience, and I’m excited to get started in this new role.”

Norm currently resides in Wilson, N.C. where he attends the First Presbyterian Church.

First South Bank has been serving the citizens of eastern North Carolina since 1902 and offers a variety of financial products and services, including an equipment leasing company and securities brokerage services through an affiliation with a broker/dealer.
