After a long career with two Fortune 500 companies, Michael Williams is looking forward to bringing his experience and passion for business management and sales to local businesses through his new company, The Growth Coach of Northern Virginia.

Williams is originally from Baltimore, where he attended Morgan State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He served as an officer in the Army for six years before leaving as an Army Captain to take a position with Mobil Chemical Company (now Exxon Mobil) where he worked as a production supervisor, plant training supervisor, recycling coordinator and sales representative. He left Mobil to take a position with Coca-Cola North America, where he recently retired after 20 years of service. During his time at Coca-Cola, Williams’ positions included account executive, business development manager, foodservice sales executive and on premise manager as well as distribution national sales executive, where he was responsible for millions of cases of product and managed and supported 32 foodservice distributors.
“My 26 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies have given me a unique perspective on business management and sales. Many of the tools and much of the training available at that level can have profound benefits for small- and medium-sized businesses. Being a Growth Coach gives me the opportunity to share my experience along with the proven Growth Coach process to the benefit of my clients and the community,” Williams said.

When he’s not working, Williams can be found spending time with his wife of more than 30 years, Tina, their two children and their family and friends. He’s also active with his local church – Rock Church Ministries – and enjoys community service, sports and movies. Williams and his family have lived in Northern Virginia for 15 years.
