This week Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan declared June 26 “Alaska Communications’ Summer of Heroes Day” in the City of Anchorage. Mayor Sullivan issued the proclamation to representatives from Alaska Communications and Boys & Girls Clubs – Alaska during a visit to the Boys & Girls Clubs – Alaska Woodland Park Clubhouse Wednesday, June 24.

As part of Summer of Heroes Day, Mayor Sullivan encouraged all citizens to do something big or small to make a positive difference in the life of another. A previous Boys & Girls Clubs – Alaska employee, Mayor Sullivan emphasized the importance of supporting youth programs that provide a safe, positive environment to help youth succeed.
