Christians for Biblical Equality Announces New Conference Sponsors
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) June 29, 2015 -- Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) is pleased to announce that six more organizations will sponsor "Becoming New: Man and Woman Together in Christ,” the 2015 CBE conference to be held July 24-26 in Los Angeles, CA.
The new sponsors include the Salvation Army–USA Central Territory (Des Plaines, IL), Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice (Costa Mesa, CA), Trinity School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA), Empower International Ministries (Orange, CA), Truett Theological Seminary (Waco, TX), and Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy (Anderson, IN).
“We are proud to welcome these new sponsors to our conference,” said Dr. Mimi Haddad, president of CBE. “Together with our other sponsors, they represent a growing commitment to the shared leadership of women and men among some of the most influential organizations in the world.”
The Salvation Army–USA Central Territory has been an organizational member of CBE since 2010, as has Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice. Truett Theological Seminary became a CBE member in 2012, and has sponsored a CBE conference and a CBE chapter conference in the past.
Trinity School for Ministry has sponsored five of CBE’s past conferences in the United States and Canada, dating back to 2007. Empower International Ministries worked beside CBE’s international work, particularly during CBE’s 2012 conference in Kenya. Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy has partnered with CBE to advocate for the mutual leadership of women and men in churches of the Wesleyan Holiness tradition.
The new sponsors join Fuller Theological Seminary, Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles, Azusa Pacific Seminary, and Calvin Theological Seminary as sponsors of CBE’s 2015 conference.
Featuring Christian scholars, leaders, and activists, “Becoming New” will be held on July 24-26, 2015 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel. The conference theme is based on 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based ministry and service, CBE sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online bookstore and publishes two award-winning journals. For more information, visit http://www.cbeinternational.org.
