Windsor, Vermont (PRWEB) July 01, 2015
Seldon Technologies, a leading developer of water purification systems based in Windsor, Vermont, is partnering with Mexican based water fountain manufacturer, Bebederos Ecologicos / Ottone Meloda to provide clean drinking water to millions of children throughout Mexico. Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, who is ranked among the top environmental legislators by the nation’s foremost conservation organizations, will speak at the signing ceremony. The signing will take place at 11:00am on July 1st at Seldon’s headquarters in Windsor, Vermont.
Officials from the socially responsible Mexican company will be in Vermont to sign the agreement that will allow public schools in Mexico to comply with their government’s recent legislation requiring all public schools to provide clean drinking water, free of contaminants, as part of a process to address health issues including childhood obesity. The agreement will include the installation of up to 500,000 Seldon WaterTap™ filtration systems inside Bebederos’ water fountains in Mexican public schools.
“This agreement is a pivotal one for our growth as a company, and a tremendous partnership opportunity which will allow us to deliver on our mission to purify the world’s drinking water with cutting-edge technology,” says Shawn Montgomery, Seldon Technologies’ Chief Operating Officer.
Bebederos provides the safest possible drinking water fountains to Mexico’s public schools and Seldon’s water filtration technology was selected over several better-know international competitors because of its ability to filter a wider range of biological contaminants with carbon nanotechnology.
“Together with Seldon, we will be placing these fountains in public schools throughout Mexico and fulfilling our vision of reducing illness, improving the life of our country’s citizens and giving them a brighter future,” says Bebederos CEO Alessandro Covarrubias.
Bebederos now exceeds regulatory board standards with the Seldon WaterTap’s virus filtration testing results. “Working with Bebederos, we’ve been able to have the WaterTap certified by COFEPRIS, the Mexican agency authorizing water purification devices,” says Paul Gallagher, Seldon’s Director of Water and Fuel Filtration.
The WaterTap is Seldon Technologies’ two-stage filter system. Using conventional piped water pressure, the WaterTap delivers contaminant removal results similar to those of reverse osmosis systems, while still retaining essential dissolved minerals in the purified water. Built with Nanomesh™ purification technology, the WaterTap delivers pure, great-tasting drinking water without the use of chemicals, heat or supplemental power, and removes bacteria, viruses and cysts, all to US EPA drinking water standards.
In attendance from Bebederos will be Alessandro Covarrubias, Co-CEO Bebederos Ecologicos / Ottone Meloda; and Hector Campos, Marketing Director. Bebederos recently purchased the Italian company Ottone Meloda, leading manufacturer of innovative technologies designed for bath and kitchen faucets.
Seldon products are designed to provide pure, clean drinking water at the point-of-use from virtually any water source. Seldon designs and manufactures customized specialty filtration systems for households, businesses, adventure travelers, humanitarian responders, disaster recovery personnel and the military.
