Bay Area Beach Destination Alameda South Shore Center Announces its Lineup for Summer Beats

Alameda South Shore Center is excited to announce the lineup for its 5th Annual Summer Beats, a series of free live outdoor concerts housed in the beachside property’s Center Court from July 18 through August 29. Sponsored by San Francisco Bay Area TV station KRON 4, Summer Beats presents local music favorites The Sun Kings, Pure Ecstasy, Pride & Joy, and the California Beach Boys performing on four different nights from 5-7pm. Summer Beats will have something for the entire family to enjoy by the only beach in the East Bay, including local wine sales, prize raffle, a professional face painter, and a Henna artist. All raffle and wine sales proceeds go to Alameda Education Foundation.

The Sun Kings, July 18 - Going into their 15th year and considered one of the premier Beatles Tribute acts in the country, The Sun Kings continue to amaze their fans and win over skeptics with their uncanny channeling and respect for the music they perform. With a repertoire of over 150 songs, and spanning the entire Beatles epoch - from Hamburg to the Rooftop - The Sun Kings shine in concert with spot-on arrangements and vocal harmonies delivered with a driving energy, joy, and vitality that recall the earliest Beatles performances.

Pure Ecstasy, August 1 - Preston Turner and Pure Ecstasy have rocked the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond for over 15 years. The band’s soulful vocal harmony and talented musicians are recognized for their ability to excite and engage the audience – making them a part of the show. From Sinatra & Standards to Motown & Soul – Pure Ecstasy makes it happen!

Pride & Joy, August 15 - During its 25 years of success, Pride & Joy has remained the most popular on the Bay Area music scene. They have achieved this by presenting the most timeless pop/soul music of our time in an electrifying high-style show that pulls the audience directly into the heart of their performance. The band regularly sells out full-weekend engagements at San Francisco's premiere nightclub, the Great American Music Hall and has set a house record at New George's, Marin County's most prominent club. In addition, they have played venues in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Arizona, Southern California, Hawaii, Phoenix, Palm Springs, Los Angeles as well as other cities.

California Beach Boys, August 29 - Mike Amaral's California Beach Boys Tribute Band is the most popular Beach Boys tribute band in northern California. From their performance on stage to the equipment they use, each member takes pride in their music and entertainment. They have performed at every possible Bay Area function and event. Their influences come from growing up in the 60's to actually playing on stage with the Surf Legends such as: The Ventures, Surfaris, The Sunrays, and The Rivieras to mention a few.
