Kidwell Celebrates Company-Wide Changes and Growth After Hiring 150th Employee
Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) June 29, 2015 -- After a year of impressive growth and change, Kidwell recently hired its 150th employee, marking a major milestone for the rising information technology firm.
Todd Long, Vice President of Marketing & Innovation, says Kidwell saw a 20% growth spurt throughout 2014, with 2015 already shaping up to enjoy similar growth. As the company has continued to grow, Kidwell has implemented new perks and benefits to attract and retain the best talent in the IT industry, which led to the company's 150th employee being hired during the week of June 8.
"Jamie Mormon, the HR Specialist at Kidwell, has worked hard to find the perfect candidates for the growing company," Long says. "The HR department worked to create a social committee, which is a small group of individuals who get together and plan monthly outings for our employees, such as heading to a baseball game, a local brewery or a movie. There are also gym reimbursements, a newly-implemented flex time policy and special 'lunch and learn' meetings."
In addition to these perks, Kidwell strives to make its employees happy by offering 401k benefits, health and dental coverage and on-site training and certifications, Mormon explains. One of the more unique aspects of working at Kidwell is its company "Victory Garden," which is a plot of land in which employees can grow their own vegetables and fruits.
“We want to be forward thinking by creating a positive culture and work environment for our employees," Mormon says. "I think any growth is positive for us. We’re making sure we’re engaging with our employees and keeping an open and constant communication throughout the office.”
Long says employees have already offered highly positive feedback toward Kidwell's improved social atmosphere, and believes this atmosphere will help the company continue to grow and attract the most talented workers in the industry.
“We have an excellent staff here and we want to make sure the people we hire are always the best we can find," Long says. "There are challenges in continuing to find that top talent, but we’re aggressive in going out into the community and local universities to recruit that talent.”
