Proven Men Hires 2 Executives to Reach Its Goal of "Restoring 1 Million Families 1 Man at a Time" from the Grip of Porn or Sex Addiction
Lynchburg, VA (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- As our nation struggles with how to address tough topics about sex and porn, Proven Men Ministries is providing answers and solutions through its unique and proven Christ-centered support system for men struggling with pornography and sexually addictive behaviors. Today, Proven Men expanded its ability to restore even more men and families by adding an Executive Director and a Director of Outreach, each of whom bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the expanding organization.
“The mission of Proven Men is restoring families one man at a time by helping people embrace a proven way of life that produces lasting victory from strongholds of pornography and sexual addiction,” said Joel Hesch, Founder and President.
Hesch calls the two hires “a big step forward” in fulfilling the Proven vision of reaching one million men and families by helping those who want to break and remain free from struggles with pornography and related sexual addictions that tear down families.
The two new Proven staffers are Mike Milnor and Mark Lamb. Milnor is the Executive Director. Lamb is Director of Outreach.
“Mike comes to us after a 30-year career in law enforcement,” Hesch said.
Milnor’s background includes uniform patrol, investigations, polygraph examiner, Interim Sheriff of Campbell County, Director of Campbell County Public Safety, and Coordinator of a VSP/FBI Regional Drug Task Force. He has also served the past two years as a Professor of Criminal Justice at Liberty University.
“Mike is a nationally recognized lecturer on Sexual Violence and Prosecution through the National District Attorney’s Association and the Federal Office of Justice Programs,” Hesch said. “He has lectured throughout the country on the complex subject of sexual violence.”
The law enforcement veteran holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Leadership from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Criminology from Averett College.
Hesch adds, “What makes Mike so unique is that he has seen the harm caused by porn and sex addiction as a sex crimes investigator and polygraph examiner. He has witnessed the loss from the perspective of the men that have lost their jobs or sent to jail. He has also wiped away the tears of women and children caught in the cross fires by either being a victim of sexual violence or seeing their husbands or fathers spin out of control by their addiction. Mike provides unique insights to the plight of both men and families and is dedicated to providing real world solutions so that men can break free and families be restored.”
Meanwhile, Mark Lamb will take on the role of Director of Outreach.
“Mark has been a radio broadcaster for 20 years, including morning talk shows and evening programs,” Hesch said. “He has been involved with Proven Men for the past two years, networking with individuals, churches and men’s ministries, both locally and nationally.”
Lamb has a strong background in volunteering in local church programs in youth, marriage/family, men’s ministries, and programming. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Ministries/Counseling.
Marks’ heart for helping men win the biggest battle of their lives caused him to give up his love for radio to join Proven Men. Mark will use his radio skills to create podcasts and help train church leaders and other men with a burden to make a difference in the fight against porn and sex addiction.
“Proven Men is very excited to have both Mike and Mark onboard and leading us to the next level,” Hesch said, adding that, “These two men help give us a larger national presence in the fight against pornography and sexual addictions in order to reach one million men and families.”
