Anime & Cosplay Festival Comes to SF Japantown in July
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- Japan Center Malls and EMW Partners, Inc. are proud to announce that the 2015 Anime & Cosplay Festival will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Anime & Cosplay Festival , in its fifth year, will be held at San Francisco's Japantown celebrating the anime and cosplay theme and is FREE to attend. The festival in its fifth year, expands its events with a special guest, popular Japanese cosplayer, REIKA.
EMW Partners Founder, Ryan Iwasaka said "This year, we are happy to collaborate with Japan Center Malls on this festival. We want Anime lovers and Cosplay fans to find a home in San Francisco's Japantown and have access to overseas cosplay stars like REIKA."
Events at this year's festival will include music performances by Valkyrie Kiss, anime song dance group Ti@Mi and Bay Area comeback performance by local idol, Yukie Dong.
Activities will include:
- Anime Pose Contest - Attendees in dress are able vie for a prize if they have the best Anime pose.
- Cosplay Senpai - The Cosplay Senpai booth area is a place for local cosplayers to meet and share knowledge of Cosplay.
- Beach Themed Cosplay Contest - Beach Cosplayers will compete in front a panel of Judges.
- Maid Cosplay Display - All Maid Cosplayers are welcome to participate on stage.
- Scavenger Hunt - All are welcome to join the scavenger hunt which will feature sites in Japantown.
- Cosplay Photo Gallery and Workshop - Observe and learn about the art of cosplay photography by Muze’s Photography
- After-Party - In collaboration with Yaoi Con, SF Anime Festival is hosting an low entry admission after-party featuring special guest REIKA, at Pa’ina Lounge & Restaurant in SF Japantown.
