Celebrate the 2015 Fourth of July Weekend at Callaway Gardens' Star Spangled Beach Party
Pine Mountain, GA (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- Callaway Gardens is eagerly anticipating the Fourth of July! Come join us for a great day filled with a ton of fun in the sun and a spectacular fireworks show. Bring the entire family and enjoy a myriad of beach activities throughout the weekend.
Friday will feature a variety of events to entertain all ages. Guests of all ages are sure to be thrilled by the acrobatics of the Florida State University Flying High Circus as they perform at 6 p.m. During the day, DJ Mikey J will entertain beachgoers from Noon to 5 p.m.; live music by the Barstool Prophets (a blues, soul, funk and rock and roll band) will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday will be packed with Independence Day celebrations and All American Fun. Robin Lake Beach will open at 7 a.m.; DJ Mikey J will entertain beachgoers from Noon to 5 p.m.; the Florida State University Flying High Circus will perform at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the circus tent; and dancing to the classic beach music of the Swinging’ Medallions, part of Callaway Gardens’ Independence Day tradition, will begin at 7 p.m. The anticipated patriotic fireworks finale will shoot off at approximately 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
The Star Spangled Beach Party does not stop there. Come back on Sunday for more beach fun and activities, and to hear country music from the Chris Collins Band, live on Robin Lake Beach at 7 p.m.
Robin Lake Beach offers guests a number of activities for a fee including Aqua Island, paddle boats, waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding and lessons, rock climbing wall, spider jump, the Xcelerator four-story inflatable water slide and a flying trapeze. A limited number of beach umbrellas with chairs are available for rent as well as semi-private cabanas overlooking Robin Lake Beach. And, not to be overlooked, are the traditional Robin Lake Beach games of miniature golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, giant chess and checkers, and a new disc golf course. Be sure to take part in another Callaway Gardens tradition by riding the Chickadee Choo Choo Train; rides are $5 per person.
Rest and relax this Fourth of July by staying overnight. Guests can choose from lodging in the newly renovated Mountain Creek Inn, the relaxing Southern Pine Cottages or the secluded Mountain Creek Villas and Vacation Homes. The special July 4th Star Spangled Beach Party overnight package includes lodging, admission to the Gardens and Beach Party and breakfast in the Plant Room starting at $184* in the Mountain Creek Inn.
To visit for just Saturday, July 4th, Special Event admission is $30/adult; $25/senior 65+; $15/child age 6-12; children 5 and younger are admitted for free. Tax is included. Callaway Connection Members, Annual passholders and Military personnel, with valid active duty or retired identification, can enter this special event for half-price. Veterans also are admitted for half-price. Admission includes access to the Gardens attractions from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Star Spangled Beach Party festivities at Robin Lake from 7 a.m. until the fireworks finale.
