GreenStar Hub Launches GUrban, a Global Green Incentives and Policies Mobile App
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- GUrban supports local, state, and federal programs for the U.S. and several languages for the global market, such as countries in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
GUrban allows users access to GSH’s green policy database for different sectors (schools, multi-family, etc.) and technology types (solar, geothermal, etc.). Governments are challenged with disseminating information on programs that are designed to increase the adoption of sustainable initiatives, such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, safer chemicals, and recycling. U.S.-based users can search by zip code and link to utility company websites (Con Edison, National Grid, and Pacific Gas and Electric Co.) and local governments directly. "I am very thankful to GreenStar Hub for the GUrban app, which saves me time. It is nice to have all the incentives and mandates at my fingertips," said Howard Pollard, Energy Efficiency Project Manager of Bluestone Organization.
In New York City, GSH is collaborating with members of business improvement districts and chambers of commerce, minority-owned small and medium sized enterprises in the boroughs, real estate developers, and facility managers to help point them to programs that can save them money.
"I thank GreenStar Hub for being part of my Renewable and Sustainable Energy Taskforce (ReSET), evidence of their commitment to a Brooklyn that is proactively committed to improving our environmental well-being. Going 'green' can be good for not only Mother Earth, but also for Mother's wallet! I look forward to seeing our borough's residents and businesses use digital tools like GUrban to maximize the opportunities and incentives available to them to be energy and cost-efficient." -Eric L. Adams, Brooklyn Borough President.
GUrban is now available in the Apple App Store and the Android Market for free. The policy database is also available for the web version at GSH’s website. Future versions of GUrban will include additional languages, a products catalog, and integration to local permitting.
