Photo Marketing Association Announces Photo Contest Winners
McLean, Va. (PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- PMA is pleased to announce the winners of its Freeze a Frame in May! Photo Contest. The online contest was featured on the National Photo Month website and contestants shared their favorite photos and passion for photography on social media. Through the National Photo Month website, PMA provides tools to help the photo industry increase consumer knowledge and enthusiasm for photography products, services and equipment.
At the conclusion of the National Photo Month celebration, PMA will transition this campaign to a year-round effort at celebratephotos.com, highlighting on a regular basis tips and marketing solutions for its trade members, along with outreach to consumers to understand how to keep photography top of mind and capture and preserve their memories that they will want for years to come.
The professional level grand prize winner is Kellie Gann, who won an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, a Fujifilm X-T1 Mirrorless ILC, and a Focus Pyramid Autofocus Lens Calibration Tool. Gann is from Lufkin, Texas and owns her own photography business, Kellie Gann & Company. Gann’s winning photograph featured a couple posing during a fall engagement shoot.
The hobbyist level grand prize winner is Carol VanLaan, who won an Apple MacBook Pro 13" - Core i5, a 4GB RAM, 500GB HD Canon Rebel T6i DSLR, a Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro, and a 20x30 Canvas Certificate from MailPix.com. VanLaan is a hairstylist from Casnovia, Michigan, and her winning photograph captured over 20,000 sky lanterns during a festival in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
