Veteran Financial Advisor Joins American Endowment Foundation
Hudson, Ohio (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- John Farren, a veteran financial advisor and attorney, has joined American Endowment Foundation (AEF), the country’s largest independent donor advised fund, as Executive Vice President & Director of Development.
In his role, he will work with donors, financial advisors and institutions to create new opportunities for AEF. He will develop programs and create strategic partnerships to grow the number of funds at AEF as well as lead the development team throughout the US. John has been a member of the board of directors for AEF since 2011.
John brings twenty years of experience in advising high net worth individuals. John has prior experience as vice-president of family office services for a multi-family office and private equity firm. He held positions in wealth management, financial planning, insurance and trust services for national banks. He practiced law in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate and small business. He began his financial career as an agent for his family’s insurance agency.

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account sponsored by a public charity into which a donor is able to make an irrevocable contribution of assets (such as cash, publicly traded and closely-held securities, real estate, etc.) and then use those funds to recommend grants to qualified charities and nonprofit organizations that the donor desires to support.
John is a graduate of the University of Akron, School of Law, and the University of Notre Dame and is a published legal author.
