SC&H Group Celebrates 9th Annual Day of Service
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- SC&H Group, a leading audit, tax, and consulting firm, recently hosted its 9th Annual Day of Service, which aims to give back to the community through company-wide volunteering efforts.
On an annual basis, in coordination with Business Volunteers Maryland, employees from SC&H Group dedicate the day to assisting those in need throughout Baltimore and Washington D.C.
This year, SC&H Group’s team in Maryland volunteered time at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Living Classrooms Foundation, Irvine Nature Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County – Camp Hidden Valley, and The Baltimore Station. In Northern Virginia, the team volunteered its time at Food for Others.
Volunteers helped with various activities:
• Creating gifts to deliver with meals
• Cleaning the wetlands to maintain a safe environment for wildlife
• Working with veterans and others who are transitioning through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self-sufficiency
In many cases, employees also volunteer their time with these organizations and others outside of the Day of Service while also donating to charities through payroll deductions.

It is estimated that employees collectively donated more than 500 hours through this event.
