Putting a smile on the faces of so many of our wounded active duty and veteran armed forces members, makes being a part of this a great honor.

The four day Warrior Weekend to Remember is being held in conjunction with this year’s Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival and starts Thursday, July 9th with a golf outing at WildWood Golf Course. The Team Fastrax™ Warrior Weekend to Remember is an exciting combination of activities meant to enrich the lives of our active duty and veteran men and women injured in combat or training. Thirty-seven combat injured warriors will participate in activities such as tandem skydives, air-craft rides, nighttime bow fishing, go-kart racing and balloon rides. These events will raise money and awareness for the Blue Skies for the Good Guys and Gals Warrior Foundation. Additional public events include an Aaron Tippin Concert, Dayton Dragons game, cornhole tournament, Gold Star Family Bike Ride and a 5k/10k Run/Walk. Information on these events can be found at WarriorWTR.com.

The Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival runs Friday, July 10th through Saturday July 11th from 4pm to 10pm and will include skydiving demos by Team Fastrax™, fireworks courtesy of Start Skydiving, a laser light show, evening balloon glows, live entertainment, a carnival, car show, and food and craft vendors. Walk-In Admission is $4 per adult (13 and under are free) or $10 per vehicle which includes parking, admission for all occupants and free shuttle service. Special rates are available for buses and RVs. Saturday and Sunday morning balloon competition flights take place between approximately 7-9 am. Admission to the festival site is free during the morning hours. The festival will conclude Saturday night and the balloon competition will conclude on Sunday morning.

John Hart, Owner of Start Skydiving, and Member of Team Fastrax™ said, “Middletown is our home, and we love to do anything we can to support it. The Ohio Challenge is not just about hot air balloons, it’s about connecting as a community. We hope everyone comes out and enjoys the weather, activities and time with one another. The Team Fastrax™ Warrior Weekend to Remember makes this event so much more special. Putting a smile on the faces of so many of our wounded active duty and veteran armed forces members, makes being a part of this a great honor.”

Blue Skies for the Good Guys & Gals Warrior Foundation was formed in 2005 by Team Fastrax™ Professional Skydiving Team. The Foundation provides a skydiving program for wounded veterans of America’s Armed Forces. Last year the Foundation took more than 350 of our heroes skydiving. The program is primarily funded through the support of Selection.com® and through individual donations. The Foundation staff is made up of volunteers from Team Fastrax™ and 100% of funds raised go directly to support their warrior events.
