Ponzinibbio Joins Tennis Great Ivan Lendl as Endorser - Finds Kinesiology Tape to be a Breakthrough Product

It was announced today that Santiago Ponzinibbio, the sensational mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor from South America, will serve as a spokesman for Larasan Pharmaceutical Corporation’s (Larasan) new pain reliever, FLEX24.
Ponzinibbio joins tennis great Ivan Lendl, who was announced in March as a spokesman for FLEX24.

Born in La Plata, Argentina, Ponzinibbio fights for Team Noguiera out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a member of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2 where he was picked as the Fight of the Season and Knockout of the Season despite breaking his hand in the semi-finals and not competing in the finals.

The 28 year old, 6 foot, 170 pound welterweight has been a professional MMA competitor since 2008. His record is impressive: 21 wins out of 25 fights with 11 first-round finishes and 59% knock-outs or technical knock-outs (KO/TKO). Known for aggression, strength and movement in the ring, he belies this reputation outside of the ring through his nickname “Gente Boa” or “Nice Guy.” He holds a purple belt in jiu-jitsu and a variety of titles: Champion of the Nitrix (77 kg), Champion of the Black Monster (77 kg), Champion of the Sᾶo José SuperFight (77 kg), Champion of the GP Insano of MMA (77 kg), Estate of Santa Catarina Boxe Champion.

CEO Sumair Mitroo said, “MMA is an intense, pain-inducing sport so it is a perfect fit for our FLEX24 line of products. Santiago represents everything right. He’s tough and strong – like FLEX24 - and he’s a really nice guy. He’s Gente Boa! We’re thrilled he will be representing us in the MMA world.”

Ponzinibbio added, “I use FLEX24 every day. It helps me in my training. FLEX24 is the best!”

The MMA Sport

According to MMAPayout, Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport among men 18-34. The company estimates there are 31 million Americans fans of MMA, more than Nascar or the National Hockey League, and 65 million worldwide. Within the US, 35% are avid fans and 75% of all fans are men.

The Product Line

FLEX24 will promote its three product line to MMA fans – the Pain Patch, Pain Pen and Performance Tape.

The Pain Patch was created for aching joints and soft tissue stress (ligaments, muscles, tendons). This includes arthritis, bursitis, strains, sprains, cramps, pains and bruises. The patch can be cut to size without losing its effectiveness.

The Pain Pen rolls on easily with negligible residue. It was created for visible areas of the body, such as the neck, small areas that need treatment, such as fingers, and in general for individuals with thin or sensitive skin who cannot wear an adhesion.

The Performance Tape marks a breakthrough in sports medicine. It is the first kinesiology tape with medicine to provide athletes with a healing analgesic in a support tape. Additionally, it is the first kinesiology tape available in a self-contained dispenser, allowing athletes to cut tape without using scissors. Replacement tape will also be available, without the dispenser, in the future.

The patch, pen and replacement tape retail for $ 9.99 and the tape in a dispenser retails for $ 15.99.

In addition to being competitively priced, the FLEX24 product line offers greater economic value. The patch package includes seven large (8 cm x 13 cm, 3 5/32” x 5 1/8”) patches, a week’s supply. The pen is .61 fluid ounces (18 ml), roughly a month’s supply. The performance tape is 5 meters long, more than 196 inches. FLEX 24 is available through select stores and the web site http://www.FLEX24.com.
