The event saw over 200 adults and 60 children who reside in the 30 neighborhoods that make up the community come together and enjoy an authentic spread of southern foods consisting of fried shrimp and fish, slaw, grits, and fried chicken, all provided by Southern Way Catering. Guests were also treated to activities on the private, 200-acre, freshwater lake that highlights the community with paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks, as well as singing and dancing to a fun mix of both older and newer tunes. “Today was a really good time,” said one long-time homeowner who was in attendance. “Lake Carolina really does an outstanding job of showing their homeowners just how much they appreciate us. These events are a lot of fun and a great way to build fellowship with our neighbors.”

With the constant addition of new homeowners to the community, Lake Carolina plans a wide array of homeowner appreciation events throughout the year to promote closely-knit relationships within the neighborhood. Ideas range from a Polar Bear Plunge in January to an Easter Eggstravaganza in April to a Thanksgiving Catch the Gobbler 5K in November. With a hot and Steamy July on the way, Lake Carolina has scheduled a Community Ice Cream Social for July 16th.
