This weekend saw the final of the FIVB (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball) Beach Volleyball World Championships in The Netherlands.

The event, which last year saw huge success throughout its host nations of Italy and Poland with indoor volleyball, occurred at four venues across The Netherlands; Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Appeldoorn and The Hague.

Ninety-six teams compete for the world title in the men’s and women’s championships, split equally between 12 pools of four gender split teams, with the winning teams automatically qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

FIVB approached the Dorset-based exhibition stand designers, Quadrant2Design for a collection of backdrops, after great success in 2013, using the company’s exclusive exhibition stand, the Prestige Exhibition System.

The stands display two figures playing beach volleyball against a background of the colours of this year’s competition host country, a deep, burnt orange. Across the stands read the statement; “This Is Beach Volleyball”. These striking stands provide an appealing setting for the exposure of the Trophy and for the interview and press area within the Trophy Dome.

This year’s Beach Volleyball Championships, The Netherlands 2015, will mark the beginning of FIVB’s communication campaign, Volleyball Your Way #VolleyballYourWay. The campaign is aimed at both promoting and encouraging the practice of all types of volleyball, without the constraint of rules, and open to everyone.
