Launch expands Community Information and simplifies access

Onboard Informatics, the leading technology for easy access to local information, announced the release of a new generation of Community Information.

The latest iteration is more robust than ever. It now includes the ancestral makeup, languages spoken and household net worth of any given area. Additional details on commute information are now available including bicycles, motorcycles, and carpools. Historical data and projections have been added for several categories, which can be used to show trends and make predictions for a community’s future.

“Updating our Community Information ensures that Onboard continues to supply the information people care about when they need a better picture of what a neighborhood is truly like – whether it’s for a business, a website, or a future home,” said Marc Siden, Onboard’s CEO.

These updates were made to enhance the data and improve the usability for developers.

“We are constantly updating our technology to make it easier for developers to incorporate the type of local information they need to drive revenue,” said Scott Petronis, Onboard’s Chief Product Officer. “This Community Information is now available via bulk or API which makes it easier to incorporate into websites, software, applications, or for decision-support. We not only want to offer the best local information, we want it easy to access and easy to use.”

Onboard has always offered complete community coverage for multiple geographic levels – neighborhood, zip code, place, country, state and nation. In total, the Community Information covers over 90,000 residential neighborhoods and includes extensive information on population, education, household size and structure, finance, climate, crime and more.

“It’s always important to enrich the data,” said Siden. “But what’s exciting for our clients is what that data can do. The more we offer and the easier we make it for clients to use, the more they can provide online experiences that are second only to walking the streets of a neighborhood. These experiences help build consumer loyalty, engagement, and ultimately conversions. This type of information can create something truly special.”

Onboard Informatics plans continued advancements to their local information and delivery technology in the coming months.
