FacilitySource, a global facility management solutions provider, announced today the hiring of Peter Korda as senior vice president of operations. Korda has more than 20 years of experience in facilities management, outsourcing and operations.

Korda joined FacilitySource on May 11. His responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of client services and support center operations, which involves working with hundreds of employees and thousands of service providers in the United States and Europe. FacilitySource, on average, receives more than 2 million incoming queries every year to its global support centers.
Prior to joining the FacilitySource, Korda served as vice president at Sears Home Services in Hoffman Estates, Ill. While there, he led Sears’ nationwide delivery and installation operations, parts operations, all franchise business, and engineering services. Prior to Sears, he was at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, where he led Scotts LawnService as its president. During his tenure there, Scotts LawnService more than doubled its reach to almost 200 locations and tripled its revenue.
Korda’s past community involvement has included board positions with childhood- and community-development charities as well as leadership roles with K-12 school development and with university-level services education and research. A graduate of Williams College, Korda received his master’s in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
