Ocean Kayak® Reintroduces the Trident 15 for 2015
Old Town, Maine (PRWEB) July 13, 2015 -- In 2014 Ocean Kayak temporarily removed the popular Trident 15 from the lineup to pursue new innovations. “We immediately began hearing from customers and assured them that the Trident 15 would be back,” said Ocean Kayak’s Marketing Communications Manager Luke LaBree.
Prior to the reintroduction, Ocean Kayak consulted with their pro-staff anglers and dealers on requested updates to the Trident 15 for the rapidly evolving sport of saltwater kayak fishing. Their feedback – “Bring it back!”
The reintroduced Trident 15 is the largest watercraft in the Ocean Kayak fleet, measuring 15’ 7.5”. That length, combined with the kayak’s hull design, gives Trident 15 superior stability on big water. “It tracks straight, glides fast, deflects waves and rides swells beautifully. That’s absolutely critical for anglers who target and fight big game saltwater fish off shore,” LaBree said.
Trident 15’s interior is laid out for serious angling efficiency. It features an innovative modular fishing pod for accepting rod mounts, electronics, tackle trays and more. It also has a built-in ruler for measuring fish and provides access to ample storage. Additional amenities anglers will appreciate are the incorporated sonar shield, Comfort Hybrid seat, molded-in carry handles and Support Track foot brace system.
Ocean Kayak understands that saltwater fishing enthusiasts carry a lot of gear, so every inch of deck space on the Trident 15 is put to maximum use. Behind the cockpit is a massive equipment well with integrated bungees. In front there’s a large bow hatch that’s been updated with Ocean Kayak’s Click Seal cover. There’s also a transducer-compatible scupper so anglers can easily outfit their Trident 15 with a sonar unit.
Ocean Kayak will reintroduce the updated Trident 15 at ICAST 2015, the world’s largest sportfishing trade show. It will also be available for test drives at the ICAST on-water demo day. “Our dealers will be excited to see the Trident 15 back and better than ever at ICAST,” promised LaBree.
