PhotoKeeper, a new cloud based photo backup service has been launched for professional photographers. PhotoKeeper stores photos in the cloud and provides a single point access to photos from anywhere.

What sets PhotoKeeper apart from other generic cloud backup services is its focus on photos. PhotoKeeper understands photos including RAW files and provides functionality that photographers will find useful.

PhotoKeeper, a cloud based photo backup and management service, has been launched for professional photographers. It takes automated backup of photos including RAW files from a photographer's computer and mobile devices into the cloud. PhotoKeeper provides a single point access to all the photos through a web browser.

PhotoKeeper provides advanced search options to search the entire photo collection in the cloud. Photographers can find their photos by date, file and folder name, tags and ratings and EXIF properties like camera, lens, aperture, ISO, shutter speed and many more. It also displays the photos on a map based on the GPS data embedded in the photos making it easier to find photos by geographic location.

Photos can be shared with clients by way of private albums that can also be password protected for enhanced security. A photographer can also enable comments and annotation on the album to take feedback and edit request from clients and enable clients to download photos, thereby eliminating the need to send photos by email or USB flash drives.

PhotoKeeper users can also share the photos on various social media sites with a single click without having to upload photos on each site individually.

“What sets PhotoKeeper apart from other generic cloud based backup services is its focus on photos and catering to the needs of professional and serious photographers,” said Yash Gadhiya, founder of Uconomix – the company behind PhotoKeeper. “We know photos need lots of space so our plans start with 200 GB of backup space. PhotoKeeper also understands various RAW files which other generic backup services treat like just another type of files,” he added.
