"People who are self-managing their physical and emotional health often need someone to speak with for guidance and support, but it's not always easy to get professional help when it's needed most."

ORCAS (http://www.orcasinc.com), a mobile health research and development company, today announces the release of CoachHub™, a flexible coaching platform that connects users with health coaches, counselors, and care providers through real-time chat, in-app messaging, video chat or telephone. CoachHub is suitable for counselors, health and wellness coaches, pharmacists, physicians, case managers, nutritionists, financial experts and peers. For users, CoachHub lowers barriers to coaching by giving them complete flexibility and control over when, how, where and to what extent coaching is accessed and used. CoachHub seamlessly integrates with ORCAS's portfolio of self-management interventions, such as MoodHacker™, BlipHub™ and Love Every Day™, or can be used as a standalone coaching platform; it can also integrate with other apps, devices and data management systems.

Using CoachHub™, coaches and other care providers can easily setup a profile, including their experience, education, and specialties and immediately begin working with users who request their help. With their client’s permission, coaches can view their progress, app activity, biometrics and assessment results in real-time. They can also record notes, client goals, and reminders to assist and inspire clients to work toward long‐term, positive behavioral change. An in-app calendar allows clients to easily request appointments. A drop in progress, low assessment scores, or poor biometric readings trigger when more support is needed. Users in turn can browse coaches to find a match and filter by location and specialty.

"People who are self-managing their physical and emotional health often need someone to speak with for guidance and support, but it's not always easy to get professional help when it's needed most," said Michael Mulvihill, ORCAS CEO. "CoachHub is a new way of health coaching, enabling users to overcome geographic barriers and time constraints by enabling them to access coaches from any mobile device for real time assessment, guidance and support."

With CoachHub™, coaches now have the flexibility to reach, motivate and monitor more people more efficiently than ever before. CoachHub reflects input from a variety of coaches who used it in focus groups and made recommendations to make the experience more intuitive and engaging for both coaches and users. CoachHub offers all levels of support, from “light touch” coaching to full care team support, either through integration with ORCAS’ suite of self-management apps or as a stand-alone platform where a user can take a simple well-being assessment to provide the coach with insights and a baseline for measuring progress.
