Wayne Van Sluys Recognized as Oracle ACE Associate
Arlington, Texas (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- Oracle has awarded Wayne Van Sluys, Senior Consultant at interRel Consulting, the title of Oracle ACE Associate. Van Sluys is the sixth interRel employee to become a member of the Oracle ACE Program. He joins fellow ACE Associate Robert Gideon, and ACE Directors Tracy McMullen, Edward Roske, Glenn Schwartzberg, and Sarah Zumbrum.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Oracle as an ACE Associate,” said Wayne Van Sluys. “Thank you to all those who have supported me over the years, encouraging me to speak at conferences, answer questions on technical forums, share via blog posts, and become involved in ODTUG. Also, thank you, interRel Consulting, for supporting me in sharing knowledge with the Oracle Business Intelligence community.”
In addition to his Oracle ACE Associate status, Wayne Van Sluys is a specialist in Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service and a certified implementation specialist in Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11. He has over 15 years of Business Intelligence experience and is a regular contributor on the Oracle Technology Forums in the Hyperion Business Intelligence Reporting category. Wayne has been on the ODTUG Kscope BI Track Content Selection Committee since 2012 and was the BI Track Lead at Kscope15 where he presented two sessions and gave introductions for the BI Sunday Symposium. He recently became part of the ODTUG BI Community Leadership Team focused on expanding awareness of Oracle Business Intelligence beyond the annual Kscope conferences. Van Sluys has also presented at the IOUG BIWA Summit for the past two years. He authors the popular blog "Beyond Just Data" and is an active member of the EPM/BI community on Twitter (@wvansluys).
ODTUG President Monty Latiolais said, “I originally came to know Wayne as the guy who registered first for Kscope each and every year. The second the website became operational, Wayne would log in and secure his place. I've since come to know Wayne as someone who is extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly, one who shares his experiences with the greater BI and EPM community. I was thrilled to see Wayne sign with interRel and even more so to see him recognized as an Oracle ACE Associate. Well done, my friend.”
The Oracle ACE Program was founded in 2003 as a way to recognize and reward members of the Oracle technology and application communities for their contributions, as well as help Oracle make its products more efficient and effective. Members of the program are technologically adept and eager to share their knowledge and experience. To become an Oracle ACE Associate, an individual must actively build a sound community profile and must have initiated community contributions in at least two areas.
“Given Wayne’s contributions to the Oracle community and his deep product knowledge, I knew it was only a matter of time until Wayne would be recognized as an Oracle ACE Associate,” said interRel COO Glen Chang. “We at interRel are very proud that Wayne is being recognized for his love to educate others and his continued pursuit of excellence. Wayne has a superb technical mind and will continue to be a passionate contributor with a wide array of knowledge to offer.”
