Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE) Clients Discuss Why they Selected ACE Accreditation
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- This has been a month of exciting news from ACE. Two videos have been released: Why CHI Accredited our Cardiac Cath Labs with ACE and Why Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital decided on Re-accreditation with ACE.
Why Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Accredited our Cardiac Cath Labs with ACE, taped during the 2015 Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) Scientific Sessions in Las Vegas, NV, has just been released. In the video, Mary Osborne, RN, MSN, MBA, Director, CHI National Cardiovascular Service Line discusses the CHI System partnership with ACE accreditation. To date, fifteen CHI facilities have applied for ACE accreditation. Ten facilities have achieved accreditation and five more facilities have been visited.
“CHI, as a national healthcare system, decided to have all of our cardiac cath labs accredited with ACE. We expect our partnership with ACE will reduce variation and align our care with the most current standards and best practices,” says Ms. Osborne.
In the second video, Timothy C. Ball, MD, PhD, Cath Lab Medical Director, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA, discusses Why Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital decided on Re-accreditation with ACE.
“In the beginning, I was skeptical about the cost/benefit ratio of the first ACE accreditation,” says Dr. Ball. “Now we know that the rewards of ACE accreditation outweigh the costs. The ACE accreditation process has improved our cardiac cath lab, our interventions and our reporting.”
