UK HealthCare Selects Lightning Bolt Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Physician Scheduling Solution

Lightning Bolt implementation is set to occur across more than 50 services within the health network, optimizing complex scheduling needs for over 1,600 interns, residents, fellows, attending physicians, and advanced practice providers.
UK HealthCare is Kentucky’s largest multidisciplinary group practice, one of the fastest growing academic medical centers in the country, and one of only eight centers nationwide verified Level I for treatment of both pediatric and adult trauma.
Since the early 1990s, UK HealthCare has relied on a homegrown scheduling system, resulting in multiple scheduling processes across the enterprise with no integration points and, therefore, no enterprise-wide schedule serving as the health care system’s one source of truth. UK HealthCare evaluated the market to find an enterprise solution and ultimately selected Lightning Bolt.
