Today Omnibond announced CloudyCluster, a web-based interface to create and manage scalable HPC and Big Data Clusters in Amazon Web Services.
CloudyCluster makes High Performance Computing available to anyone. Users can set up and run an HPC cluster from mobile or desktop devices with a simple wizard setup interface. With 24/7/365 AWS availability, HPC is now accessible without the need to reserve data center resources ahead of time. CloudyCluster’s intuitive interface guides the setup process with a series of simple questions. Users easily spin up an advanced computing infrastructure complete with a variety of HPC and Big Data applications, allowing them to compute, pause, resume, and delete when done. The CloudyCluster interface supports creating on-demand compute groups and controlling the instance type and the scheduler, with Amazon’s DynamoDB supporting the on-demand infrastructure. Available schedulers include Condor and Torque with more to be added in the future.
All instances in a compute group are based on the same type. Users control compute group parameters, with a variety of options for AWS instance types and images.
CloudyCluster also supports collaboration, providing ability to add collaborators with custom access permissions and share Google Drive folders among collaboration group members.
