FameBit Expands Monetization Opportunities for Content Creators through Sponsorships and New Original Programming
Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) July 20, 2015 -- FameBit, the self-service YouTube marketplace that connects content creators with brands, is expanding its monetization opportunities for creators. The company announces today that it will be releasing the first of many original digital shows, set to launch at VidCon, to help long-tail creators further monetize and expand their audiences.
“Until now, only the biggest YouTube stars could have hoped to get an original web series, let alone generate a profit from it, but original programming should be based on talent and ability to entertain, rather than a number of subscribers,” explained FameBit co-founder, Agnes Kozera. “FameBit is known to be innovative when it comes to helping talent monetize, and we’re looking to demonstrate this through our expansion into content. In the same way that we once validated the value of niche and long-tail channels to brands, we’re also focusing on attracting a highly engaged audience to original, unscripted web programming.”
FameBit’s first series, FilterFreeTV (FFTV), scheduled to debut at VidCon, is the first uncensored digital talk show that takes an honest look at the most difficult questions and problems millennials grapple with every day. Not shying away from difficult issues like drugs and sexual identity, the roundtable discussions draw on personal stories and experiences. The topics are edgy, controversial and personal; there are debates, disagreements, and charged emotions.
FilterFreeTV stars Tiffany Ma, RJ Aguilar, Raya H, Deserey Morales and Kayla Lashae. While each of these YouTube personalities have significant social followings (collectively, a reach of over 1.2M on YouTube alone), cast members were also chosen by their talent, passion, and personality. Diversity, both in the selection of people and the myriad of relatable experiences the young stars have grappled with, was also examined during the casting process.
“With FilterFreeTV, FameBit is capitalizing on unexplored territory by giving content creators the opportunity to change the overall landscape of talk show TV,” explained RJ, one of the show’s cast members. “By offering behind-the-scenes conversations led by real young adults, this show is truly the first of its kind. We know this is both a pivotal moment for FameBit and for television, and we feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of this project every step of the way, especially as it grew to supersede even our own expectations.”
The FilterFreeTV show will launch the first day of VidCon on Thursday, July 23, 2015, but fans can get early access to the app as of Monday, July 20, where they will be able to get the first look at the first episode of the show along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. The app will be free to download, and will have a constant stream of backstage footage, bloopers, cast pranks and interviews. Episodes will be released once a week on Thursday at 3pm PST/6pm EST and will be available for purchase.
