Mashable, the leading media company for the digital generation, announced today that it has launched its first ever dedicated Transportation channel, expanding its robust coverage of technology for the digital generation.
The new Transportation channel will focus on the increasingly-important intersection of innovation, sustainability and manufacturing in the evolving transportation industry. This new area of coverage will be part of Mashable’s existing Tech channel and will be overseen by Tech Editor Pete Pachal. In addition to a fresh take on the ongoing narrative in transportation, audiences will see features already familiar to them, including Mashable Choice content.
“’Disruption’ doesn't do justice to what's happening in the world of transportation -- it's in a state of upheaval,” said Jim Roberts, Executive Editor and Chief Content Officer. “The twin technologies of automation and alternative fuels are reshaping automobiles, engineers and dreamers are finding ways to move vehicles in ever-more-creative ways and so-called smart tech is making all modes of transport both more efficient and more personal.”
As part of the launch, Honda HR-V crossover will be the exclusive sponsor of the new section and its content. This month, Mashable will partner with Honda HR-V crossover on the official launch party taking place on Saturday, July 25 at Studio 1342 in Los Angeles, CA.
