Knovation Presents During Mooresville Graded School District Summer Connection
CINCINNATI, OH (PRWEB) July 21, 2015 -- Knovation, the leader in OER curation and contextualization, is participating in the 2015 Summer Connection event held by Mooresville Graded School District in North Carolina. The highly anticipated gathering brings together superintendents, district administrators, principals, teachers and technology staff from across the country to learn strategies for implementing successful 1:1 learning environments.
Session topics during Summer Connection include digital tools and resources, instructional practices, implementation, leadership and partnerships that work. Knovation will share how it has been working with the district to provide digital resources and applications that save teachers time to better personalize instruction and engage students.
“Knovation is proud of our deep relationship with the leaders and faculty in Mooresville. Since the beginning of their digital transformation, the district has used Knovation’s solutions to deliver our curated, contextualized and maintained Open Educational Resource collection in a way that maps to Mooresville’s goals and curriculum,” said Randy Wilhelm, CEO of Knovation. “Our partnership with Mooresville has helped us inform and support other districts that are similarly seeking to transform instruction and learning outcomes.”
The partnership between Knovation and Mooresville Graded School District started in the beginning of the district’s Digital Conversion in 2007 with netTrekker – Knovation’s flagship solution. As the conversion progressed, Mooresville adopted icurio, a solution that leverages Knovation’s OER collection to design and deliver digital lessons and activities, allowing teachers to address different learning needs, get real-time insight into student understanding and provide personalized feedback.
“With Knovation, we are able to use digital resources to differentiate instruction at a high level,” said Chris Gammon, principal at Mooresville Intermediate School. “icurio pulls in digital resources in a step-by-step process so that students can work at their own pace. We are seeing student growth in areas that we have not seen before.”
