The Institute for Healthcare Information Technology Celebrates Performance of Georgia-based Companies in the Annual HCI 100 List

Eight Georgia-based companies rank among top 100 healthcare IT companies in the U.S.

The Institute for Healthcare Information Technology (IHIT), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare through the advancement of technology and education in Georgia, celebrates the recognition of eight Georgia-based companies who appeared on the Healthcare Informatics HCI 100 list.

“As our nation’s healthcare IT capital, Georgia is home to more than 200 healthcare IT companies,” said Pat Williams, chairman of the IHIT Board of Directors. “We have a strong community of vendors, providers, payers and educators working together to drive innovative approaches to healthcare delivery. IHIT is thrilled that these companies are being recognized as successful leaders in our industry.”

The Georgia-based companies that made this year’s list include:

  •     MedAssets, Inc. Alpharetta
  •     Greenway Health, LLC, Carrollton
  •     HealthPort Technologies, LLC, Alpharetta
  •     Brightree, LLC, Lawrenceville
  •     Navicure, Duluth
  •     Sharecare, Atlanta
  •     Surgical Information Systems, Alpharetta

The study, conducted each year by Georgia-based Porter Research on behalf of Healthcare Informatics, ranks the largest revenue-generating technology companies in healthcare IT. McKesson, a $3B software and services company, has consistently appeared in the top five for the past several years.
