DURHAM, N.C. – Gordon K. Klintworth had an extensive career in the academe and scientific field. During this time, he saw a side to the scientific community that is not generally seen, a side riddled with questionable scientific practices, particularly in the area of research. He discusses these in detail in the eye-opening exposé titled
“Giants, Crooks and Jerks in Science” (published by Xlibris).
Klintworth’s latest work is an exposé of what he described as “scientific misconducts” that persist in the science and academic world. It points out mistakes and the deliberate frauds that continue to exist throughout the years.
“The integrity of science depends on honesty, truth, and ethical behavior; and the major developments in science have advanced knowledge immensely and this information has helped mankind in numerous ways,” Klintworth said, “Unfortunately not all researchers adhere to these fundamental principles. Research misconduct has existed since the beginnings of science and remains prevalent today despite considerable efforts to abolish it.”
“Giants, Crooks and Jerks in Science” offers a rare, insider’s look into the limitations and lapses of the scientific community.
