Utah's Conestoga Ranch Offers a Weekend of Yoga, Paddleboarding and Hiking with its Pose & Paddle Retreat
Garden City, Utah (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- Conestoga Ranch, a new glamping resort overlooking Bear Lake’s turquoise-colored waters that opened in July, is offering a fitness-oriented retreat that takes advantage of the beautiful, natural surroundings and outdoor recreational offerings. Pose & Paddle programming combines yoga, standup paddleboarding on Bear Lake and hiking on area trails. Scheduled to take place August 21 to 23, it is open to men and women of all fitness levels and ages.
The retreat will be lead by two well known outdoor enthusiasts and fitness gurus based in Park City, Utah, Alisha Niswander and Lauren Lockey. Niswander, who earned a degree in outdoor recreation is the founder of Mountain Vista Touring. She shares her passion for Utah’s stunning landscapes and dynamic recreational offerings through privately guided adventures. As a longtime yoga instructor and personal trainer, Lockey emphasizes core strength, flexibility, breath and plant-based nutrition. She is also the founder of a non-profit farm animal sanctuary, Sage Mountain Animal Rescue, located outside Park City.
“This fun retreat incorporates outdoor fitness activities while utilizing our expansive property, proximity to the lake and fleet of new paddleboards,” says Tom Hedges, one of five partners behind the development of Conestoga Ranch. “Yoga, paddleboarding and hiking are complementary activities that take advantage of Bear Lake’s outdoor offerings.
