Avionics for NextGen 2015 Adds Nextgen 101 Course from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- July 27, 2015 – Avionics Magazine, in conjunction with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has launched NextGen 101, a one-day course designed to give an overview of the Next Generation Air Transportation System, the FAA initiative to modernize the air transportation system. This course will identify the key concepts, attributes, and challenges of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).
This event, held October 13th – the day before Avionics for NextGen 2015, will help attendees understand the broad scope of the FAA’s NextGen initiative. This course will give attendees a working knowledge of NextGen, strengthen the understanding they may already have, or prepare them for Avionics for NextGen 2015, which brings an in-depth look into the technical aspects and valuable perspectives on how NextGen standards will be achieved.
"Over the past several years the FAA has taken huge strides to move into the deployment phase of this historic program. NextGen means different things to different people, and Embry Riddle's NextGen 101 course can provide a deep understanding of the business considerations associated with NextGen and how this system of systems is going to fundamentally change the aviation industry over the next two decades."
NextGen, the series of programs that the FAA is implementing, is complicated and daunting to manage. The aviation industry, government employees, military members transitioning to the commercial sector, and others, will need to understand in the broad scope of NextGen, as well as a detailed view of how to comply with the mandates by 2020.
Registration for both the NextGen 101 course on October 13, as well as Avionics for NextGen 2015 are open. Deadline for Advance Registration is July 31st.
