Florida Hospital Physician Group (FHPG) is pleased to announce the addition of Michele D. Pescasio, MD to Florida Hospital Physician Group. Dr. Pescasio is a Board Certified and Fellowship-Trained Sports Medicine physician who joins the practice of Dr. Jonathan Phillips at Tampa Bay Sports Medicine and Performance in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Dr. Pescasio earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies before completing her internship and residencies in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. She then completed two Sports Medicine Fellowships at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama and Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dr. Pescasio has been the team physician for professional sports leagues, including NFL Europe, arena football and baseball, as well as collegiate-level sports, including football and basketball. Additionally, she has been the team physician for high school athletic programs throughout the Tampa Bay area and in Alabama and North Carolina. Dr. Pescasio’s specialties include sports physicals, sports injuries, concussions, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and generalized musculoskeletal/orthopedic issues.
