Joshua and Jenna Miles, young-yet-established restaurateurs, responsible for a growing number of fine dining establishments across Western NY, announce plans to open an authentic southern-style barbeque restaurant and a full-production brewery within the Pinnacle North development along the north shores of Canandaigua Lake.
“This is a dream come true,” said Miles. “We have launched many successful establishments, but none with the potential and significance of this project. We look forward to enhancing the lakefront landscape and providing Canandaigua and Upstate New York with an unexpected, high-quality dining experience.”
The brewery, slated to be the third largest in upstate, NY, will feature a thirty-barrel production system and several 5-barrel production units for seasonal and specialty brews. Tours and tastings are expected to be a popular attraction at the lakefront pub.
The restaurant, featuring genuine, slow-cooked barbeque, is expected to set itself apart with its rooftop barrel smokers, nationally renowned grill masters, original seasonings, sauces and southern hospitality.
“Our chefs will be working with some of the best pit masters in South Carolina and Georgia, and will be expertly training in the art of slow, hot smoking,” added Miles. “This is not just another BBQ joint, but rather an authentic display of the best the South has to offer.”
A native of South Carolina himself, Miles understands and appreciates quality cuisine and exceptional guest service.
“We put as much effort into the service and experience as we do the culinary program. I am excited to bring an authentic southern experience to Upstate NY.”
The two venues, which will occupy two floors and 14,000 square feet of the new Pinnacle North development, will be open for business in July of 2016 and will be accessible by both car and boat.
Operating Partner, Josh Miles, his wife Jenna, and their team have quickly developed a track record for restaurant success with establishments, including The Revelry in Rochester; Branca in Bushnell’s Basin and Buffalo Proper in Buffalo. Josh is also the food and beverage director at the Strathallan Hotel where he oversees Char Steak & Lounge and the newly revived, Hattie’s.
