Gold Medal Service and ServiceKey Founder makes list of entrepreneurs re-shaping the business world for second year in a row

Mike Agugliaro, co-owner of Gold Medal Service and founder of ServiceKey, has been named one of 15 winners in the 2015 Rule Breaker Awards for the second year in a row.

It takes more than just hard work – it takes the courage to see things differently and the willingness to change.

Mike Agugliaro, founder of ServiceKey, has been named one of 15 winners in the 2015 Rule Breaker Awards. This is the second year in a row for Agugliaro, who was named a winner in 2014 as co-founder of Gold Medal Service, a $23 million, award-winning heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, drain cleaning, and waterproofing service company in New Jersey. Sponsored by Nextiva, Infusionsoft, and Safe, the Rule Breaker Award celebrates entrepreneurs who are pioneers and innovators, taking positive risks that have paid big dividends in transforming industry.

“I am honored to be named a Rule Breaker for the second year in a row,” said Agugliaro. “At Gold Medal Service, we took the risks we needed to in order to implement the game-changing techniques that transformed the business into one of New Jersey’s largest home service companies. We knew it was a worthwhile challenge, and we couldn’t have done it without our dedicated employees.”

Agugliaro was honored at an awards ceremony Tuesday, July 28, at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans.

Agugliaro is the People’s Choice winner in the Service Provider, over $5M in Sales category.

Over the last decade, Agugliaro has grown Gold Medal Service to more than $23 million per year, with a vision outlining how it will reach $40 million per year by 2020. In 2013, Agugliaro founded ServiceKey to coach other service business owners to achieve the same kind of results. In two short years, he has become a business transformation leader, coaching service business owners worldwide. He does this through a number of resources including his two published books on business mastery and leadership, a weekly podcast featuring game-changing industry leaders, a blog, a magazine, a weekly newsletter, and teleseminars.

“From my own experience, I knew that other service industry businesses owners were struggling to make the changes needed to make their businesses succeed,” said Agugliaro. “It takes more than just hard work – it takes the courage to see things differently and the willingness to change. Being able to guide business owners on that journey is exciting and rewarding.”
