SupplierGenius to deliver integrated retailer and vendor services essential in today's highly competitive market

"These new services answer requests from both retailers and vendors for technology applications that decrease time and cost, and increase efficiency and effectiveness."

Genius Central has released the first in a series of new services as part of their natural product industry portal, SupplierGenius.com. Developed in conjunction with leading retailers, the new APL service gives vendors a view of retailers’ Approved Product Lists in real time, enabling them to submit deals and promotions that match the retailers’ inventory, and recommend item additions based on selling velocity and season. Next in the series of services is Pricebooks, the ability for vendors to load and distribute specific retailer wholesale prices to specific retailers for visibility in their handheld ordering devices, online at MyGeniusCentral or in their POS via an upload function. Pricebooks is in development now and will be released this Fall.

“Since joining Genius Central, we have been doubling down, focused on product development to benefit vendors and their retailer customers,” said John Miles, CEO. “Soon to be joined by Deal Management and New Product introduction functions, these new services answer requests from both retailers and vendors for technology applications that decrease time and cost, and increase efficiency and effectiveness. Along with our next generation order software and data delivery on tablet-sized mobile platforms, SupplierGenius intends to deliver integrated retailer and vendor services that are essential in today’s highly competitive natural product market.”

Pricing for these services to distribution vendors – national and regional distributors and direct distribution manufacturers – will be tiered and commensurate with the volume of orders and data flowing through the Genius Central eco-system. Subscriptions will also be available for distributed brands and brokers to enable much easier management of deal offers, reconciliation and performance monitoring. Genius Central will kick off their introduction of the expanded Supplier Genius services at tradeshows beginning in August and follow-up at Expo East in September, where they will also unveil their new BUYiQ, the latest generation of mobile ordering for all vendors on one device.

“For 15 years, Genius Central has been building and providing leading edge services to the industry for a single pipeline of orders and information to benefit retailers and their vendors,” said, CJ Lett, member of the Genius Central Board of Directors and long-time investor in the company. “Our neutral position and independent, single, time-saving solution benefits retailers and all of their vendors by providing greater product transparency and better buying decisions. We are excited that over 70 vendors, including Now Foods, Solgar, Country Life, and now UNFI and KeHE, recognize the importance of building such a system and the high value we bring to the industry at a fractional cost. There’s no doubt that collaboration among all parties will yield better inventory management and profits for both retailers and their suppliers.”
