Pragmatic Works Is Presented With Big Data Award by HP and Microsoft at Worldwide Partner Conference

Pragmatic Works has been named an Outstanding Frontline Partner in Big Data by HP and Microsoft for the third year in a row. Pragmatic Works is a Microsoft NSP Partner with Gold Competencies in Data Platform and Data Analytics, and Silver Competencies in Application Development and Cloud Platform.

The worldwide HP/Microsoft Frontline Partnership (FLP) is a 30-year-old alliance that works to ensures that Microsoft and HP products have been designed and engineered to work together and are supported by both companies. Together with Pragmatic Works, they take platforms customers are familiar with and build integrated solutions; services and support that help amplify the speed and effectiveness of businesses and deliver real business results.

Pragmatic Works was recognized for this award for their work at Citrix. Citrix Systems teamed up with Pragmatic Works to migrate their corporate data warehouse from SQL Server to the Microsoft Analytics Platform System (APS). Pragmatic Works and Citrix worked together to determined that Analytics Platform System (APS) provided them the ability to consolidate current systems with the capability to scale-out on the appliance for years to come. Pragmatic Works’ solution brings the benefit of a reduction in capital expenditures by way of a decrease in licensing costs. By bringing the company data into a single APS environment and consolidating the CPU count, Citrix systems will be able to reduce their investment in licensing cost.
